AUTHOR TALK: THE FAR FIELD BY MADHURI VIJAY

Pushcart Prize winner Madhuri Vijay discusses growing up in India and the inspiration for her critically-acclaimed debut The Far Field. The talk will be followed by a reading from the novel and a Q&A session.

The Far Field “follows one young woman’s search for a lost figure from her childhood, a journey that carries her from cosmopolitan Bangalore in Southern India to the mountains of Kashmir and to the brink of a devastating political and personal reckoning.” (Scott Burton, Los Angeles Review of Books, 1/16/2019)
